Do the Royal Navy offer university students a placement year?

Im studying Mechanical Engineering at university. In year 3 i would like to take a placement year, however i was wondering whether the Royal Navy offer a placement year to university students ? Regards

1. I dunno, but i do know if you contact the Royal Navy when in university you can go down to Portsmouth and spend a few days on a ship to make sure its what you want to do. Also, the royal navy offer bursaries for 6th form and university just in case you wasn't aware of that :)
