University Graduates

University Graduates: do you regret going?

I've been thinking a lot about University recently and whether I'll go or not. I just wondered if anybody actually regreted going, what with the tuition fees, lack of jobs for graduates, etc.

  1. even with the economy, you're still gonna get more opportunities than if you just had a high school degree. plus college is the most amazing experience you'll have.
  2. The people that seem to regret it are the ones that don't major in marketable degrees. Sure some people have been lucky to have majored in English and Theatre and have become famous as a result but for the most part, most people have a hard time marketing degrees like humanities, liberal arts, etc. If you go to college, get a practical degree, it doesn't mean that you have to get a job in that specific field but until you make it in your dream career, its nice having a backup and an income.
  3. Not in the slightest. I'd never have met my husband if I hadn't gone, or been able to get into my career.
  4. not for a moment, i have great job at Johns Hopkins. you need to pick the right field to find a job not easy coursework. now i am working on my masters and they are footing the bill.
