University Graduates

If i move to the UK, will I find university students of languages interested in extra lessons?

I can speak both Italian and French ( i'm mother tongue). As ill be spending my days among university students, i thought it could be great to give some lessons to those who need help with italian or french in exchange for money. I know that, especially for italian, they are not very spread, but i saw that many universities of foreign languages provide courses of italian. Do you think its a good idea? is it feasible ?

  1. I think it is feasible - just. Italian as far as I know isn't greatly demanded for in the UK, but I suppose you will always get a few that want to learn; probably people interested in fashion who want to go to Milan, but that is only one example. French is definitely more in demand, and there are always people that want to learn it. It isn't just students as well, school kids often have extra lessons in languages, so this may be a good opportunity for you. I cannot say how easy it will be to find people that are willing to pay though, especially in this economy, so I wouldn't rely on income from teaching. If you do decide to do this, make sure like you said, you go to a university that offers a lot of courses in these languages, so you will find more people willing to learn. Hope I have helped.
  2. Moving to the uk ? if yes you may have a serious mental health problem i advise you get your priority's in order
  3. Most universities offer language classes that are not part of the main degree programme and theise are either free or heavily subsidised. You may be able to make some money but from professials not students.
