why university graduates fail to get jobs after thier qualifications?

- Because their qualifications are in areas where there are no jobs available? Because they're unsuitable for the available jobs for some other reason, such as coming over as arrogant and unpleasant in interviews? Because they are applying for unrealistically high level jobs and the people who get them have both degrees and experience? Depends on the person.
- Right now, it is because of the economy. Even the most highly qualified people are having trouble finding jobs. It will pick up in the next year or 2, and you will hopefully find something.
- Was it Bill Clinton who famously said, "It's the Economy, Stupid." I don't think he meant it in this way because the Economy was relatively good in the 90s, but when a company is cutting back 100 experienced engineers, and 100 experienced accountants, and 100 experienced salesmen right down the street, a company that's hiring for 10 or 20 jobs is more often going to choose the experienced (and recently unemployed) worker over the newly minted engineer/salesman/accountant. Even inexperienced Lawyers in New Jersey (reference: NPR this morning) are being forced to volunteer their services to get some sort of experience on their resume to compete. The economy is bad. Yes, even if the stock market continues to climb, the economy will still be bad for at least a year or two as the first jobs created will be taken by unemployed, experienced workers.
- education.mypressonline.com - I found such internship info here. It has lots of internships, job openings and scolarships for college students.
