University Graduates

As a new graduate with a bachelor's in Bus. Admin., would I be able to get a management job with no experience

I've done a little research about what types of jobs I could pursue with this degree, and many of them consisted of management positions. Would employers really take fresh new graduates with no experience and place them in management positions just because of a piece of paper/diploma/degree?

  1. Not usually, unless it some sort of position they'd be willing to train you for - like financial sales.
  2. Unless you are a graduate of an Ivy League school, or your father owns the company. Not just because you took business administration means that you will start as a manager. Often, you'll start at the entry level position (e.g. clerk, cashier, research assistant, etc) -- and work your way up to a management position.
  3. Prepare a great resume outlining some of your best skills and qualifications. Many companies prefer experience, but if you look for jobs online or in ads with the words "entry level," they may consider you if you make a good impression. It is completely possible to be hired..everyone has to start somewhere.
  4. at the company i work for you would - they love to hire outsiders with no experience when they could promote from within!
