Are there graduate assistantships available starting in winter term?

I realize the answer to this question will vary from school to school, but generally, if a student begins their masters program in the winter term (as opposed to the fall term), will there be potential graduate assistantships available for them apply to? Or are all positions filled at the start of the year? I ask because I won't be starting my graduate program until the winter term and am ineligible to apply to the assistantships this coming fall term. Thanks in advance!

1. Assistanctships willbe available in the Spring however, possibly not as many as in the Fall. Once you attend in the spring be sure to secure an assistantship for the coming fall.
