University Graduates

Canadian university students, can I get into a university even if I don't have the requirements?

Like if I talk to the university's office of registrar and seriously plead my case. Can they give me sort of testing? I cannot apply as a mature student yet because I wont be 21 until October but I would really like to start this September. This is for York University, btw. Thank you if you can give me any tips, please do, you will impact another person's life and she will love you forever <3. Peace! I'm talking about the admission requirements, thanks again.

  1. contact York's admission office and ask just to be sure. Also sometimes if your marks are low they allow you to fill out a form along with your application if there were "extenuating circumstances" which caused your low marks. But if there was no illness in your family etc . . .it is doubtful they would consider you, but that said there is no harm in applying and even if you think your marks are low maybe fewer kids will apply this year and they will accept some students with lower averages than they have accepted in past years. If you do not have high school education or courses required for a specific course there is no way they will let you in. But you can always take the high school courses you need, or even a few more to boost your mark, if something is your dream it is worth taking the time to make it come true! Again i would contact their admissions office and speak to someone over the phone, ask lots of questions and find out all the angels. Where there is a will there is a way and if you have to wait until next year, do. Remember your dream is worth following do whatever it takes even if it means another semester in high school raising your marks. good luck.
