University Graduates

A question for Ivy League University students or graduates?

What was your high school GPA on a 4.0 scale? And what was the lowest grade you received in high school? What do you think you did in your high school years that most influenced your acceptance into your Ivy League University? Thanks.

  1. I can answer for my son here...... On a 4 point scale, his unweighted GPA was 4.27 (where an A+ was equal to 4.33). His lowest grade was one A- and probably three A's......everything else was an A+. I believe his grades combined with the fact that he took the most challenging classes offered at his school (9 AP classes and 10 honors classes) probably was most instrumental. I say the above with some degree of caution because the grades alone may not have gotten him in. He also scored a 2360 in one sitting for the SAT1, got 3 800's, a 790 and a 760 in his SAT 2's and received 8 5's out of the 9 AP classes he took (and a 4 on the remaining test).
