  1. Working in call center as a CSR or a teller.
  2. I'd head for retail where you can use your customer service to sell on commission. If you already have good customer service instincts, you'll me more inclined to sell someone what they actually want or need, not necessarily the thing with the highest commission. Do that, and you'll make loyal customers and clientele who will keep coming back to you and buy whatever you recommend because they'll trust that you have their best interests at heart. You may lose a little in commissions at first, but it will pay off in the long run.
  3. If you have good customer service experience, know how to talk to people on the phone, utilize your time wisely and the skills are transferable you might try applying for administrative assistant, or receptionist with almost any line of business...I had to make a change in career due to a back injury and had little to no experience in an actual office, but I had really good references and am excellent on the phone so I was able to obtain a position with a real estate office; lawyers, doctors, dentists, car dealerships, etc are always looking for someone to work their front desks...while you're looking you might look into what your local vo-tech has to offer as far as computer skills and business/office skills are concerned and prepare yourself for the position you may want to obtain; you could also look into call centers...they're not the best place to work, but they give you that CSR (customer service rep) to put on your resume and even if you didn't learn anything or hated it being able to put it on your resume will be good...I know this, too, from experience...anyway...good luck...
  4. the most important question would be whether or not you want to continue working in customer service or not. there's always call centre work. or front line retail.. you could probably get a job as a bank teller if you are good with numbers. that job pays higher than retail clerks in a store. if you don't like customer service work, you could also consider work as a receptionist or admin assistant, or general office clerk with various organizations. file clerk, etc..
  5. Check into the courier and trucking business - these CR jobs are high pressure and rewarding if you do well. The industry always wants good people and they like to start them in the bottom of the ranks and help them build a good career. There are quite a few really top level VP's and above in that industry that started in sales and or and customer service. I spent 35 years in the industry and enjoyed almost every day of it.
  6. Work as a customer service rep. or a support specialist for something you know about.
