My friend is a rep for avon...but seeing as i am a male...I would not think that is an area of interest for me...also that we would have competing business for customers. Are there any such ventures that are legitimate other than places like vector marketing...and SMC or that stupid 321 crazy fox thing?

For a sales rep job that requires a clean driving record how far do they go back? Is it 3 years or 5 or over your whole life or how far back does a company look? I am guessing they require that for insurance reasons... Also if it's like 7 or 10 years does "Clean" mean never a speeding ticket in 10 years? What if there is 1 or 2 speeding tickets in ten years...

Is it ethical for a paint sales rep to recommend our jobs to other contractors to bid on? Our business has slowed considerabley in the last few months. The only thing different in this area is the new paint Sales Rep for the company we buy paint from. We buy exclusively from them and they often recommend us to customers for jobs. But lately they have been recommending other contractors, not just to thier customers because that would just be alittle competition, but they are also taking our personal jobs that we bid on and calling up other painters and sendig them to the G.C. to outbid us. We called all the other contractors that he tried to get us to backstab and told them. The company is firing him tomorrow! One happend to have a much larger account than us and threatened to pull business if he wasn't fired. Turns out we weren't the only ones he has done that to.
