Investment Banking jobs in Australia for UK graduate? Hi, I have been looking at jobs in marketing (specifically Trading) in various investment banks. I live in the UK but really want to start a life in Australia, in addition to the fact that I really am quite sick of London! So I want to do an internship with an IB in Australia. However, I checked on the site of JPMorgan (Asia Pacific) and it seems that they require that an applicant already have Australian citizenship, and that they would not sponsor a visa to Australia. Is there any particular reason for this? Australia based Macquarie don't say anything on their site, and am wondering whether they welcome applicants from other countries and would sponsor their visa? I would really appreciate any help and experience any one might have.

I have heard that after medical school, it is extremely hard to get a job if you are an international student. I am an Indian citizen currently in UK on Post Study Work visas. I am looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer role and I have applied for so many graduate jobs here in the UK including Graduate Schemes and have also given many interviews, but all I get in the end is rejection. I think the primary reason of this is because I am not an UK citizen or may be I do not have indefinite leave to remain in UK. ease of immigration for UK graduate? i am business studies undergraduate (first expected from a resonably well known university) and am considering moving abroad after graduation. the question is where I should go, as I only speak English fluently, but i do speak at little french german and spanish, although not any great extent. i have considered moving within the eu, as it is very easy me to do so, but i would prefer somthing further afield. I would ideally work in the USA, but immigration seems very strict. What interesting jobs are there for Britons abroad? A decent job is a hard thing to find - and here in Britain we have just about the best paid and most secure jobs in the world. Even in a G8 country like Italy, a permanent job is a hard thing to find. But the downside is that there's not much incentive to go abroad for work. If I were Polish, I'd jump at the chance to work in the UK. But I'm British: what kind of graduate job can I get in Poland or Brazil - what's the best avenue? 2011 UK Graduate looking to work abroad, help needed.? I graduated in September and got by Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Coastal Engineering, I am looking to work abroad, ideally Canada or Australia. My problem is I have zero experience....zilch, nada, nothing, in my particular field. I have worked before, just not in the civil engineering capacity.... Now so many things I have read say that I should secure a visa before applying for jobs, but then so many other things say about having experience to secure a visa.... I have recently been ploughing through forums on the matter and people talking about Canada have said they have had 12 month visas and that is where they always fall short, the fact they are on a temporary visa and have no experience... Is this something that is going to be common?! I mean really what are my chances? am I better off working some meaningless job in the UK and perhaps "volunteering" in an engineering company (worst case scenario) and then perhaps applying for engineering jobs in the UK and working for a year or two and then trying abroad?! I anyone else sick at the fact there are no graduate jobs for university leavers in the UK.? I plan to finish my BSC HONs Building Surveying degree with a respectable 2:1 and i'm thinking to myself; why did i even bother. There are literally no jobs about for a Graduate building surveyor or any type of surveyor. Any post that is available is getting snapped up by those surveyors who have already got 2 years or so experience within the industry. It's not even like i haven't tried ... I've already got 7 months experience in a Housing Developer and some work shadowing for a Building Surveyors but i still never manage to get to the interview stage. What would you suggest I do once I graduate? UK answers preferred, please? I'm studying Applied Languages [French and Japanese] at LJMU and am in my penultimate year atm. At first I thought I wanted to be an translator/interpretor, but now I'm not nearly so sure. I've pretty much made up my mind that I don't want to go back to education straight away once I graduate as I've been in education since I was about 6 and am currently getting a bit fed up of it. I'm currently unemployed and have tried a bit to get a job while at university in the UK and have been looking in shop windows in France [where I currently am on my year abroad until February]. I've had no luck in the UK and am not sure whether to even try in France. I've toyed with volunteering while in France, but the only opportunities I've found involve looking after children, which I absolutely don't want to do [besides which I have no qualifications]. My last job was for a catering and hospitality agency that offered no training to me whatsoever while I was there [I was just made to be a runner or a plate waiter, regardless of what everyone else was doing] and I eventually got fired - quite rightly, I feel - for saying something nasty to a member of staff. Admittedly, I did hate the job anyway, so..... I dunno. This was in July 2008. All I know for sure is that I want to brush up on lingustics - I like to think that understanding it would help me with my general lanugage skills - and study that for a while at some point. I'm sure I need to say more, but can't think what it is right now, so I'll leave it there.

I don't mind if the job has to be in music field as long as it's related to education though the best it's to do with music. I have had BA degree for sure and will have MA degree soon I believe. If I can only find a proper job to convince my family that I can survive in the UK, not working as a waitress jobs like this. So does anybody can give me some clue? I wonder if I would like to work as a assistant in a university as a start for finding a job would that be possible? Please at least answer me these 2 questions. Thanks!!

as a biotechnology graduate from a good uk university, in wut countries can i easily get a job? i have a bsc biotechnology degree in cardiff university uk. im a citizen of sri lanka. biotechnology in sri lanka is almost non-existent. what countries will offer me a work permit/visa?? this is the biggest problem for me..to get a work permit and visa to another developed country while still living in sri lanka(which is classed as a 3rd world country). i cant just spend a lot of money to travel for an interview..cos if i they dont choose me then its pointless.
In June 2009 there'll be more UK graduates on the market than job vacancies? doesn't this show the ill-thought out idea that having 50% of youth in higher education, regardless of quality, was? Phil, i am GCSE level and was putting the question objectively. But thanks very much anyway !
Recent Biomedical Science MSc graduate. How do i find a job in UK?? HI, I recently graduated from my masters, unfortunatly this did not get me registered with the IBMS or the HPC. I have applied for many-a-job (which dont require you to be state registered) but they all want at least a years experience. Where do i find the jobs that dont need the experience?? I need one of these so i can get the experience! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. (I am also already trying to get my route of study independently approved by the IBMS but this could take some time.) Thanks JD I have already registered at several agencies and nothing!!
