Graduate Assistant Football Jobs Knowledge Base

what is a graduate assistant football coach? My friend from undergrad got this new job over the defensive backs,i congratulated him,but i didn't want to ask...what is it?I don't know nothing about football, thanks!
How to become a graduate assistant? I am a college student who played High School football, but due to my current major (education) am unable to get a job as a manager, how would you recommend I go about trying to get a graduate assistant position in the future? I know a lot about the game, managed baseball in high school, head football coach was a DIII head coach and is a top notch PA football coach (don't know if any of these would help)
How do i become a highschool football coach? I want to eventually become a college football coach, and i know i have to get my graduate asisstant degree. But, it seems that you actually have to know someone to become a coach now a days. Is there a website or someplace where they list head/assistant coaching jobs?
What career should I choose?(lost and confused)? I'm 23 yr old male who stopped college right before I got my associates because i didn't know what i wanted to do and was wasting money. I've been out of school for almost 2 years and still haven't figured out what i would enjoy doing for the rest of my life. I don't do much I delivery pizza, smoke weed, play video games and occasionally go out and party with some friends. I don't like doing a lot things but i also get bored very easily so it's frustrating. I know I am lazy and unmotivated, I also know now it's time to grow up and i feel i may be ready to do that now but I have no clue what to do still. Everyone always says what would you do for free? or what did u grow up wanting to be? Honestly, I always wanted to play football and would love to coach or be a scout on a college or pro level but how realistic is that? Plus, in order to do that you must become a teacher at a high school(which i have zero interest in doing) and work your way up from there by winning. 20years of teaching isn't worth it for me to reach that goal. The only other way is to play in college, graduate and become an assistant for the team that you played for and since i dropped out and stopped playing in college a couple of years ago I won't be able to go back. I would love to be able to find a job relating with marijuana, whether it be growing medical or anything else but i know that's very very unlikely. Any advice in careers or anything is greatly appreciated.
Please help me pick an offensive playbook to buy and study!!? Hi I have the chance to buy an offensive playbook to study. My options: 1) 2000 Miami Dolphins official offensive playbook (actually used by one of the players) 2) Texas tech offensive playbook from 2002 3) 2004 New England Patriots offensive playbook. My problem: I've never played American football in my life, because I live in New Zealand where football is virtually non-existant and rugby is the most dominant sport. I'm currently at University in my second to last semester and I've decided that maybe after i graduate that i might spend a year or two in the states and try and get a job as a coaching assistant of some kind at a small high school. My dilema though is that because football games are never screened in NZ, all i know about football comes from reading material online and watching the full games that i've managed to download. Thus i've decided to buy a playbook and study the plays in one to better learn the game. So as you can see my dilema at present is which playbook should i go with?? Please help me choose, at present my favourite offense is actually Boise States but nobody seems to have their playbook. Otherwise though I should mention i love pass heavy offenses. Cheers for any help you can offer! actually i can get a 2004 Texas tech playbook Hey froggy_logic Thats actually a good point and i can understand why. Though if i did choose to go with a Texas tech playbook i could get this package (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160250191941&_trksid=p2759.l1259 which is quite enticing. However maybe it would be best to choose a balanced offense like the patriots offense since it generally does so well? (provided Tom Brady is at the helm). Cheers

please help me think of a title!!!? if you dont want to read all of it, it is basically about the social mess. behind Death of a Salesman, please help i cant think if a title the mess. is that everyone cant achieve success and money through lots of friends and good looks Arthur Miller’s plays are well-known for their statements about American society. One of the most famous plays would be Death of a Salesman, which is about American Society in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s. Through this play Miller makes a social statement about American society and values. The main character in Death of a Salesman is Willy Loman, an aging salesman from New York City. In the beginning of the play Loman is exhausted but later emerges as a man who is not very successful. However, Willy believes in the American Dream. Willy bases his whole career on the idea that if people like you, success will be yours. Unfortunately Willy never achieves this success, but always brags about being more successful than he actually is. For example when, “Willy tells his son “I never have to wait in line to see a buyer. ‘Willy Loman is here!’ That’s all they have to know, and I go right through” (Miller, Death of a Salesman, Act I, 33) Willy teaches his two sons, Happy and Biff, that the key to success lies in being liked and in good looks. Of course, Willy was wrong and as a result neither Biff nor Happy succeeds. son Biff was a high school football star, but was unable to graduate because he failed to get all of his math credits, and is unable to hold down a steady job. Happy, Willies other son, is also miserable working as one of the two assistants to the assistant buyer at a business, Happy is physically superior, but otherwise, inferior, to those he works with. Linda is Willies loving wife. Willy never feels that he is good enough for Linda. As a result, Willy goes off and has affairs, but Linda stays a loyal wife, who never forces him to face the reality of his failures. Linda sees through Willies bragging and sees an average man who is no longer needed and who is about to be discarded. For Linda, it is enough that Willy has tried to be a good father, husband and provider, even if he has not always succeeded. When Willy goes to his boss, Howard, to request a job where he does not have to travel, Howard fires Willy, which makes Willy infuriated. This made Willy feel like a total failure and made him feel like he would be worth more dead than alive. Willy commits suicide by crashing his car, hoping that his life insurance money would enable Biff to succeed by providing him with the means to establish a business Willy Loman is a victim of the American idea that everyone can achieve success and wealth. In writing Death of a Salesman, Miller blames the values in the American Dream, that everyone can achieve success and money, and he criticizes the ideas that only profits matter in business and that people are expendable.

Weird perverted guy obsessed with my girlfriend? Well me and my girlfriend has been together for about 6 years. We went to the same college as me, Western Carolina. She's 21 and i"m 23. She studied in Animal Science and became a Vet Assistant and I played football for 4 years and studied Physical Education. Im a Weight Training Instructor, Defensive Coordinator of the Football Team and Head Coach of The Baseball team at the local high school that we both graduated from. Well me and her have gotten along really great our whole life and we still get along now just like we did when we was teenagers, everything is great between us. What is odd is this one guy that is around 30 or so that attended the same college as us is making really weird comments about her. This guys name is Jacky, the best way I know how to describe him is the guy that always tries to be cool but fails at it terribly. He dresses like a 14 year old, listens to Justin Beiber and Miley Cyrus and always makes the corniest jokes Ive ever heard. One of my friends knew him a long time ago and says that he acts really tough and bad and always starts trouble then leaves. I first noticed he was talking about my girlfriend was on facebook. First, he said something like "Beautiful pic" which kinda bothered me but i just went on with it, then he left a comment like, "nice white teeth, i bet i could make them whiter" so I was like what the hell? so I asked my girlfriend if she knew him, and she said not really he had came by the Vets office a lot for no reason. She swears she doesn't know him that much at all, he just started talking to her out of nowhere and somehow got her number and started texting her randomly. I'm pretty sure the guys knows about me too, which pisses me off even more. But what tops the weirdness off is the guy has a girlfriend that is 20. He's always all over her when we see him in walmart or something. He hangs out with 16 and 17 year olds and visits at the school i work at alot. Something that really bothered me was about a week ago he showed up at the baseball parent meeting that i held and he actually had the nerve to ask me if he could help coach, In my mind i said hell no, but i acted professional and said "well do you have any experience with baseball at all?" he simply said no happily and walked off, while he was walking off my girlfriend was walking towards me and he stopped and asked her how she was and looked back at me and hugged her, and she glanced at me with this "get him away from me" look and walked to me fast. I honestly don't know what it is with this guy and my girlfriend. My girlfriend won't talk about it, idk if she's embarrassed or scared ill get angry or what. Honestly I don't know who to approach about this or how. I mean i could go beat the hell out of this guy but that would probably cost me reputation and job. I want to do this professionally but i don't know. What do you think is going on, and what should I do?

Is there any way for a High-Schooler to make friends their senior year? Hello. So... technically, I'm a senior now, since I just finished up my junior year of school, but I'm still a little anxious for summer and senior year. The problem is, I think I'll be going into senior year friendless! I was put in mostly advanced classes and so most of my "friends" (if you could call them that) were graduating seniors this year. Now, I'm faced with the daunting task of making new friends and I guess I don't know how. I'm really quiet, probably *the* quietest kid in the school, and a little cynical because I'm unattractive. This has been a problem for me on the front of getting involved in activities at school other than sports, and in getting a job over the summer (which I still don't have, adding to my self-esteem issues). In other words, my extracurriculars suck. There are some things that I *am* good at. I have a great work ethic. I'm a 4.0 uw student with the most rigorous course-load offered. I'm on track to be co-valedictorian, 95th+ percentile on standardized tests and I'm a state-qualified XC runner, but I still spent the last week of this year sitting alone at the lunch table because the seniors were getting ready for graduation. I'm seriously considering asking my counselor if I can be a teacher's assistant during my lunch period next year so I don't have to go through this again. Never been to homecoming. Never been to a HS football game in my life. Never been on a date. I went to one B-ball game and I sat alone. Do I smell or something? Am I just that ugly? lol! What if I get to be Vally and I need to give a speech, what will I do? I don't *know* these people. Without forcing myself to talk to the misfits or make myself look like an idiot. What can I do to make friends my senior year, or do I just wait until college? I really want to go to my state-flagship. Could I even make friends there?

Online Masters Degree or Second bachelors degree? Online Masters Degree I am a 24 year old head strength and conditioning coach/assistant football coach at a H.S. in California. I am also a substitute teacher/personal trainer and make fairly good money with these 2 jobs combined (coaching I merely received a stipend). I own a house and live comfortably... With that said I have my B.S. in Kinesiology and am interested in obtaining my masters degree, though have no interest in relocating unless it's for a graduate position. I've accepted that getting one of these positions is next to impossible unless I know the head guy or someone else important within the athletic program. My GPA is under a 3.0 so it is hard to get into most schools that are within commute distance... My question for all of you is would you hire someone that obtain their masters degree from an online school/program? Or would this be a complete waste of time/money? ..This would be a great way to accomplish this goal of mine though I am afraid that most employers would look the other way once they see that I have an online degree posted on my resume. It's either this or I'm thinking about doing a second bachelors degree in Spanish, busting my butt, possibly getting my masters in that and becoming a bilingual teacher and/or coach. Please comment on this, your advice/opinion/comments will be very much appreciated. Thank you!
