Anyone out there really love their job? If so what it is it?
What are some jobs that any college graduate can get? For example if you majored in something not very marketable like ----Studies, and you got low GPA like 2.0 or 2.5, (from a prestigious University like University of Michigan -- Ann Arbor) what kind of jobs can you get? I heard that there are jobs that just requires a degree and that only 20% of employers actually look at your grade.

College Graduate Jobs? Hi! I am going to be graduating this summer with a BA in Communication Studies with a Concentration in Broadcast Production and dual minors in Philosophy and Communication Management. It can be tricky finding a job in my liberal arts field but I am hoping to line one up for when I graduate. With that said, where is a safe place to post my resume/contact info for potential employers? I know you have to watch where you post such information, so if you have a reliable source of where I could put my resume/information I would appreciate it. In conjunction to job seeking I thought that might help. Thanks Besides just typical retail jobs/customer service jobs to get me through school I have had one internship in Graphic Design at a small PR firm.
What types of Jobs are available to a college graduate with a PhD in (Library) Information Science? I've been doing some research on my own, however I am interested in some feedback about the types of jobs available to an individual with a PhD in Information Science. Some programs are listed as a PhD in Library Information Science. I'm not certain if they are synonymous. If it helps I currently hold a masters degree in Communication NOT in Library Information Science. I don't know if this would make a difference or not, but it is not a prerequisite to apply to the program. Any thoughts?

Why are there so many college graduates with no jobs? There are so many college graduates with no jobs or are working underpaid jobs. I know of a college graduate with a business degree who's getting paid $9.50 an hour. When is the job market going to get better? This is making me second guess of going to college after I graduate high school. My teachers are teaching me and everyone else that a college degree is the golden ticket to get that good paying job. I don't know if that's true now.
Will there be math jobs when I graduate from college? I've read about all the disasters, the economy, the wars, and then all the businesses laying people off. Many companies in my county are closing or cutting way back. The unions don't sound promising. I think I will get some job, but is the need for math jobs declining, and are the promises a bunch of crap to get us to take out student loans?
Is graduating from Middlebury College a good springboard for getting jobs/getting into good graduate schools? I am attending Middlebury College. I am not completely sure what I want to do with my life but for now I am an International Studies Major and taking premed classes. I am looking at graduate schools such as Stanford, UC Berkley, University of Chicago, UPenn, and UCLA. I have fairly good grades, but I feel like Middlebury is not well known. Would graduating from Middlebury help or hinder my chances to get into these graduate schools/finding jobs and internships?
As a college graduate, what level jobs should I be applying for? I graduated with a major in journalism, but because the job market is so competitive, I decided that I would take a job in other categories as well. However, most jobs that I am seeing for college graduates are a bit intimidating. They require several years of business or marketing (I am mostly seeing sales and business jobs open). My mother tells me that I should apply anyway, but I can't help but feel that once I get in to interview, the interviewer will simply be annoyed that I responded without the proper credentials and I will sound ignorant. Any advice on what to do as a college graduate and where to start? I am currently also applying for journalism internships to build a resume.

What's the right way to get a recent college graduate to get a job? My daughter graduated last month from college with a BA in Graphic Design. I was told by a professional that I should charge her rent to live with me and I did. She used most of her grad money to buy a computer. She's been on 2 interviews, she's applying for lots of jobs, but no job yet after 3 weeks. Last night she was upset because she only has $125 in the bank and owes money for credit cards and needs clothes. She has gained a considerable amt of weight since last summer. I told her to get a job doing anything just to have money and she is now trying. I gave her money to buy herself some clothes. I gave her the rent money back to pay her bills. Am I being too easy on her?

Any tips for college graduates trying to find jobs out of state? I am graduating from college this month and have been applying for jobs for the past month or so. My current location doesn't offer many job opportunities so the vast majority of jobs I have applied for are out of state. How do I convince employers in my cover letter to hire an out-of-state and entry-level candidate? I'm not expecting my relocation expenses to be paid. Yes, of course being a college graduate finding a job has it's own set of challenges, those I know how to handle. If you don't have a real answer then please don't respond.

Does anyone have any suggestions for finding possible jobs for a recent college graduate with little pro exp? I am a recent college graduate who just returned from teaching English in the Czech Republic. I have had a lot of trouble finding any work at all. I am looking for temp work or hopefully a full-time job. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Corporate/Organizational Communications. I have worked for three different organizations during my college experience mostly in the summer. I spent most of my youth, high school years, and part of college involved in lots of athletics and that left me little time to build up my true experience on my resume. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I would truly appreciate any help you have for me. Thank you very much

Can someone tell me where to get the list of College jobs? Can someone tell me where to find information on the list of jobs available for people that graduated college, that you can't get by just graduating in high school. Just college jobs, jobs that require you to be in university should be excluded. Doesn't matter how many years, just send me as long as you have to be in college for it.
How are 1 million students are going to get jobs when the college graduates today can't find work? Refer to the following exerpt from Obama's State of Union Speech: "And let’s tell another 1 million students that when they graduate, they will be required to pay only 10 percent of their income on student loans, and all of their debt will be forgiven after 20 years — and forgiven after 10 years if they choose a career in public service, because in the United States of America, no one should go broke because they chose to go to college."

How can I as a 42 yr. old, recent college graduate, enter the job market in a retail career? I live in a medium size college town and I'm looking to get into retail management. I'm 42 and ran my own child care business for over 20 yrs. I went back to school and just got a degree in marketing management. I am a 4.0 student and highly motivated to succeed. I am, however, nervous and unsure about how to get started in what I hope can be a good career path. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Pita

good jobs for a recent college graduate? I graduated from college in May, and while I am working, I am still looking for something better. I would like to get into an Management in Training program or something that is geared toward recent graduates. The poor economy hasn't made it easy to find a job though. I was a dual major in Psychology and Criminology and Criminal Justice. I would like to get into the business world though. I have looked into insurance companies as well as countless other companies. Are there any good companies that would hire a recent grad and/or have a program geared toward young professionals?
How do you thing the economy will affect the job market for newly college graduates? I will be graduating soon from college and my major is Journalism. I have written a number of articles for a school paper and I was just curious to know every-ones take on how the economy will affect the number of jobs college graduates are able to get. Also do you think this will affect how long it might take for a college graduate to get a job. I am so scared that I might be able to find something in my field because they are so many people getting laid off in my major.
Entry-Level Jobs as a College Graduate? I'm sure that this has been asked before, but it is worth re-hashing: To those of you who have a) recently graduated with a BS in Engineering and have b) found work as Engineers- how did you get your jobs? Was it a question of having a contact at the company, career fairs, pounding the pavement, or something else altogether? Additionally, what previous collegiate or professional experience (internship, co-op) did you have that you felt assisted your in securing that position?
How come a college drop out get the same or maybe higher position than a college graduate? I've noticed a changed in corperate america. I have a buddy who is a college drop out and a buddy who doesnt even go to college and just go straight to work out of HS. They worked in a Mortgage company. One of them become an Escrow Office making really good money. I saw a guy in my company who got a college degree and just got hired for loan processing. If you dont know what loan processing is, it's just no brainer job sorting documents. A college drop out having a better job then a college graduate? Amazing. A guy can go straight out of highschool and work for a Mortgage company going through temp agencies. So does it mean a college degree is irrelevant?
Where should a (soon to be) college graduate go to look for a job online? I graduate college in May with a bachelors degree in Business and MIS, with a minor in economics and finance. I am trying to find entry level jobs, pretty much anywhere in the U.S and possibly international. I have tried Monster.com and hotjob, and so many of them require 5 or more years of experience, and when I have literally thousands of job postings to sort through, it makes it difficult to search. Is there a site out there for entry level management positions? Or I am stuck searching monster.com for hours on end, mostly with jobs that require work experience. Any tips on finding a job?
