Apart from common jobs, I mean seriously everyone has a job, so what would give you a better advantage over others? Would teaching English for a few months (or a year) in China make any difference? Is that impressive at all?

What is the difference between MIT undergrads and other Tier-1 university graduates? Please no one line answers such as 'They are better....' MIT has a world reputation of being the no 1 engineering schools in the world.I know their top 30% make it to their graduate schools...and would more likely be really better with closer contacts with world renounced Fellow-grade or better-grade professors but what about the other 70% relative to the other US News and World Report Tier-1 counterparts? Anyone knows? Sorry, I mean other Tier-1 U undergraduates.

Myth of fact that employers prefer famous university graduates over not-so-famous uni grad students? There has been many speculations about these things especially in the United States. As a prospective international student, it is important that one chooses the right university. If lets say we have two students, student A and student B. Student A enrolls in some famous university and scores competently in the degree whereas student B enrolls in a not-so-famous university and scores well instead. Assuming that they both are equally interesting and participated actively in their extra-curricular activities, which one does the employer prefer?

Jobs for university graduates? I read somewhere that jobs these days for university graduates are difficult to get, a guy has 3 degrees and the only job that he was getting was one in a call centre place, doing telesales or something, thats the same as a high school graduate. University graduates please give advice? I want to university after college to get a degree but the only thing holding me back is the amount of public speaking you have to do. Is it a real struggle if you hate public speaking? I just don't want to miss out on my chance to get a degree because of a stupid irrational fear, y'know? Harley G, I think maybe you should consider getting an academic qualification. Your intellect is clearly far beyond that of the average person. I know a University that is run by Fonzie from Happy Days.

entry-level job titles for university graduates which don't require previous work experience? ... and I mean job titles NOT in the software programming area! I need job/position titles for college graduates in order to be able to search online (all sites ask you to type a job title/domain in the search bar). It's even more confusing for those who didn't graduate in the IT programming field, so I'm wondering what strategy are others in this situation applying when hunting jobs online

University of Central Oklahoma Graduates? I will be graduating from this University next May with a degree in Computer Science. I am curious to hear from other graduates from UCO. What was your experience trying to find a job? I am a little worried as this school is just a mid to lower tiered school and probably not considered one of the top schools in the nation. We are looking to move out of the OKC area after graduation and I wanted to know how UCO is considered in other parts of the country. Should I be worried? BTW, I do carry a fairly high GPA.
most asian american university graduates in California don't have any experience doing hard labor? Examples of jobs i'm talking about: -Gardener -fruit picker -work in the fields I don't know but honestly, all the guys when i was in university, had visions of becoming this and that.. working in companies. Becoming entrepeneurs, and all that. But, would they at least try these jobs once? I've never seen any asian americans doing gardening as a job(clean up other people's houses).. ever.. I'm not saying Asians from asia, i'm saying Asian Americans. When i was in university there were many studying computer science and so on.. many.. but i never see any of them doing hard work outside. Why is this? . some asian americans have parents just like us mexican americans, who came to the usa poor and had to do hard jobs... but i don't see any asian americans helping out with those jobs, while...me and other first generation mexican americans do have experience getting dirty and suffering even if we go to UC. Maybe those asian americans are not first generation?
multiculturalism among Ontario/Canada university graduates help!? Hi, I'm working on an statistics project about university graduates and their ethnic origin in Ontario or Canada in general. My question is: Does any body know some good internet sources that might help me with my investigation? The argument I'm trying to prove with this research is to find if Canadians with certain ethnic origin (Asian, European, Latin American etc) are more likely to have an university degree. Thanks in advance
Are there too many university graduates? We know that all jobs and occupations are necessary .... but are not there too many people with university graduates and there's lack of other kind of occupations like manpower and students of vocational training? Is not a fact that are philologists, sociologists more than enough and are wanted "real workers" like electricians , plumbers , bricklayers, cooks....? ----To Ricardo Grande---- Yes, i have said that university graduates are neccesary, but in more less quantify that there are nowadays, above all in certain degrees(we don't need lots and lots of philologics, BBA but we really need lots of electricians and kinda of workers....anyway... doctors and teachers are more useful than other degrees) About "real workers" hahaha , my god i knew that someone was felt annoyed for this.... I know that i exaggerate a little , but this way i expresse better what i refer to.Realling working, working is for me is to do a tangible and productive work , something that gives results and "make a country progresses".Sociologits only write, raise hypothesis but not do an "authentic work " in the way i understand. :)

What personal qualities would you expect from a university graduate? That a non-university graduate could lack? Imagine you're an interviewer. Obviously, they might have certain knowledge about a subject eg. Chemistry, Biology, History. And also, why would going to university have manifested these qualities in that person? And vice versa if you want. Dawg, that's why I'm asking for qualitative information.

The reason i ask this question is some say there is some say there isnt because like 25% of university graduates are accounting majors, so its going be competitive right? Also why are universities allowed to say the job rate for accounting is like 85% when that obviously isnt true right? Any comments appreciated.
